Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced that it has been named the recipient of the Seymour S. Greenfield Sustaining Member Award, Medium Company, by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).
With more than 2,200 employees, Dewberry is a national SAME member, and has been a sustaining member of 10 SAME posts each year for the previous five years, including the Atlanta, Baltimore, Fort Bragg, Hampton Roads, Huntsville, Jacksonville, Mobile, Northern Virginia (NoVA), New York City, Panama City, Philadelphia, and Savannah posts. In 2020, the firm held 69 appointed member representative positions, including five national executive member representative positions and four young member representatives.
“Dewberry recognizes and supports SAME’s goal of building leaders and leading collaboration among government and industry to develop multi-disciplined solutions to national security infrastructure challenges,” says Dewberry Vice President Scott Weliver. “We’re humbled to receive this award and are excited about what the future holds.”
Dewberry’s members are involved in a variety of post activities, including holding chair positions for the National Small Business Committee, serving as members on the Advisory Group for Exhibitors Small Business Council, president of the New York City Post, chairman of the COVID-19 relief effort for the Jacksonville Post, member of the board of directors for the Philadelphia Post, and membership chair and at-large board of directors member of the NoVA Post.
