Dewberry was recently awarded a contract to provide architecture, structural and civil design, permitting, and construction administration services for the development of the City of Venice Public Safety Facility in Florida.
The hurricane-hardened public safety command center will be located on a 10-acre piece of secured property. Once complete, the 30,000-square-foot facility will feature multipurpose rooms, a media room, a community meeting room open to the public and other organizations, evidence processing and storage space, an incident command center, and training rooms.
"We're looking forward to designing this new facility, which we anticipate will help strengthen Venice's public safety for residents and visitors," says Dewberry Project Manager Daniel Barrett.
