As our world becomes more and more adaptable to changing technologies and environments, we strive to offer innovative solutions for our transmission and distribution, power generation, oil and gas, and solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects. As we collaborate closely with clients, we uphold their standards in meeting safety, environmental, technical, and economic requirements. We maintain an extensive corporate safety program and provide job-specific training in compliance with our clients' safety programs. Additionally, our quality management system has been certified by National Quality Assurance (an ANAB accredited organization) to be in full compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Transmission and Distribution
We bring decades of experience and hundreds of miles of design and permitting knowledge to transmission and distribution projects. Whether it’s designing conceptual site layouts, developing permitting strategies and packages, designing underground transmission and distribution duct banks, developing sophisticated 3D site/civil designs for substation sites, performing QA/QC inspections, completing energy audits, or completing surveys via traditional, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), or lidar for transmission and distribution lines, our professionals are familiar with your technical, economic, and safety concerns.
Electric Vehicle Charging
Successful electric vehicle (EV) charging station projects start with a strong knowledge of local conditions, including a region’s physical, political, regulatory, economic, and demographic factors. Our network of community-based offices enables us to leverage years of local and regional expertise and familiarity with a community’s unique zoning restrictions, plan development and review processes, and local codes and ordinances. We design charging stations at greenfield sites, existing parking lots, and parking garages. Design services include preliminary site audits, Phase I environmental site assessments, utility coordination, site/civil design, site regulatory permitting, and electrical engineering design, including utility routes, and AC and DC power. Turnkey services provide streamlined solutions for design, engineering, and construction services.
Solar
As a full-service engineering company, we have been involved in all phases and tasks of photovoltaic system construction—from site selection and evaluation through design, entitlements, permitting, construction, and record drawings. We are experienced with the three main forms of photovoltaic systems—ground mounted, including fixed tilt, tracker, and agri-voltaic; roof mounted; and carport canopies, as well as photovoltaic systems on landfills and brownfield sites, new and existing rooftops, open space, and parking lots. Due to our national presence, we have worked on projects across the country, including on military facilities, railroad stations, and airports. Our projects are often paired with electric vehicle charging stations and battery energy storage systems.
Oil and Gas Infrastructure
Our team has significant experience working on upstream, midstream, interstate pipeline, and downstream projects. We have planned, designed, and constructed hundreds of projects for numerous clients. We have extensive experience with quick response tasks and have developed procedures to get staff in the field within minutes of identifying the need for emergent services. A proven industry leader, we provide planning, engineering, program management, surveying, and mapping services, along with a myriad of technical support.
Power Generation
We have extensive experience delivering balance of plant projects at power generation plants. From developing comprehensive water management strategies to supporting coal plant decommissioning, our staff understands the criticality of balance of plant projects to support reliable and clean power generation. We offer permitting, study, design, environmental, and design-build solutions, and we recognize these subsystems are critical to the operation of power generation plants and their interconnections and dependencies make each plant unique. Our team is focused on development of comprehensive and cost-effective solutions by employing sometimes underutilized resources.
