The Mule Creek Infill Complex added 550,000 square feet across 23 new buildings to the existing state prison in Ione, California. The facility, which includes 1,584 beds in six dormitory-style housing units, enables the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to address overcrowding; expand rehabilitation programs; and enhance medical, mental health, and dental services for its inmate population.
