The residential towers feature stepped massing and setbacks requiring mechanical systems to extend downward to the lower level and then offset and rise up in the “full-height” area of the building.

One of the east coast's most ambitious and high-profile developments, CityCenterDC, spans a ten-acre site in downtown Washington, D.C., with Class-A office space, apartments, condominiums, a hotel, shops, and restaurants. The 2.5-million-square-foot development, part of the LEED® Neighborhood Development pilot program, includes 515,000 square feet of office space in two high-rise towers, 458 rental apartments in two towers totaling approximately 560,000 square feet, and 216 condominium units in two towers totaling approximately 370,000 square feet.

Our advanced MEP engineering supports the ambitious vision of the Foster + Partners/Shalom Baranes architectural design team. The Hines development team calls CityCenterDC "a model for responsible, environmentally sensitive multi-use developments."
