We assisted the city in securing approximately $2.1 million in grant funding through the Natural Resource Damage Assessment and the Florida Boating Improvements grant agencies to design and construct a new, improved marina. The new marina will include approximately 1,700 linear feet of steel seawall with a concrete cap and a six-foot-wide concrete sidewalk that spans the entire length of the marina. Additionally, new finger piers with wider walkways and composite decking will replace the deteriorating ones at the boat slips. There will be 26 dock pedestals equipped with water, electric, and internet to service each of the 55 new boat slips. Parking areas will include new loading and unloading areas for charter boats, and the existing stairways will be replaced with Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant access to the boat slips.
